BLARGLE BLARGLE BLARGLE

So I don't know if I mentioned it all yet, but.
I didn't get into grad school. Purdue flat out said no. (well actually they said "if [200] other people decide not to go.") IUPUI said I need to basically complete at least 2 more years of Biomedical specific education (which may or may not be covered by financial aid). You know what? It's no big deal. It's fine. I was just trying to leave grad school as a viable option. The thing I'm pretty pissed about is A. how long it took for them to get back to me and B. that they told me to apply, spend the time, effort, and money to make the process go through even though they more or less knew I was not qualified. THAT is what pisses me off.
NOW I'm 6 months behind. I need to start looking for a job. AND/OR I need to contact electrical engineering to look at THEIR grad program. But to be honest I'm pretty pissed off at the whole system and just want to graduate already and find a job. I'll probably end up getting a mostly crappy job (IF I get one that is) for at least the first year or two. I am not entirely sure what the future entails all I know is I'm mad as hell.

  1. I wondered if you were mad about school... Do you still get to stay in Australia for the time being? Is there another grad school you could transfer to? I'm sorry that it turned out like that, I'd be mad if it took that long to tell me 'NO' as well, especially after they had you apply and all that.

I'm sure you'll get through it though. Good luck!

  2. I'm sorry to hear about what Purdue said. I can imagine your disappointment even if grad school was only an option. You definitely are smart enough and good enough for grad school. Of course, I'm not biased at all just cuz I'm your mom.
